Sirijanga Sing Thebe was not just a name — he was a vision, a revolution, a mountain of courage. Born in the shadows of ancient traditions and political silence, he stood as a lightbearer of the Kirat Limbu people. When the indigenous scripts and voices were being erased, he reignited the script, reunited the roots, and rekindled the identity of his people.

He revived the Sirijanga script in the 18th century and spread literacy and knowledge among the Limbu community. His dream was not just about letters—it was about liberation. Sadly, his flame was extinguished by those who feared his light. But legends do not die. Today, through every letter typed in the Sirijanga Lipi, his soul lives on.

The Sirijanga Lipi is more than a writing system. It is the beating heart of the Limbu identity, a sacred thread woven through generations. It flows like a Himalayan river—strong, pure, and ancestral. The script is indigenous, unique, and carries our myths, rituals, and songs.

Sirijanga Lipi Keyboard for Windows – User Guide

As a son of the Tamang community and a passionate digital developer, I (Wanju Wayba) created this Sirijanga Lipi Keyboard Software for Windows to help learners, elders, teachers, and cultural lovers write and express themselves in our native script using modern technology.

System Requirements

• OS: Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11 (32 or 64-bit)

• .NET Framework 4.5 or higher

• Unicode-supported applications (Notepad, Word, Google Docs, etc.)

Installation Steps

1. Download the .exe installer from the official source or trusted developer site.

2. Right-click the file → Select “Run as Administrator.”

3. Proceed through the Installation Wizard.

4. Once installed, go to Control Panel > Language > Add a Language, then enable Sirijanga Keyboard.

5. You may also switch using Windows + Spacebar between your regular layout and Sirijanga.

• The layout is based on Romanized input, making it easier for beginners.

Tips for Smooth Usage

• Always use Unicode-compatible fonts bundled with the software.

• Works best with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, etc.

• Enable SIL Graphite rendering support if fonts do not display correctly.
